Data promised but received as advertised

1 month ago I purchased a Mint tablet from Pick n Pay on a MTN special. While I am happy with the little tablet which works OK I am thoroughly disgusted with BOTH Pick N Pay and MTN in their attitude towards me as a customer. Their advertising states I will get 100Mb FREE data for six months. Firstly Pick n Pay did not Rica the sim card so I had to go back to the store and get that done and at the time they said I would have to put airtime to get the data within 7 days. I of course did that but STILL NO data. Two weeks later I go back AGAIN and try to talk to a person at the Cresta MTN who told me to go to Pick n Pay and sort it out (NICE?). I duly go to Pick n Pay Cresta where I purchased the tablet and they did exactly what I had done - phone MTN - 173 (NO help there) . They then phoned their head office help line who tried to sort it out through MTN and AGAIN I was told to buy airtime and I would get my data in 7 days. NO such luck. I am so sick of talking to minions who don't seem to know how to do their jobs. SORT it out!!!

I AM STILL WAITING. The cryptic phone calls I have received from Pick n Pay Cresta leave a LOT to be desired. Someone phoned me the day after this review was posted saying they wanted the document numbers which I duly sent to them via E-mail. The next day someone else phoned and said they had receoved the email and that they were going to speak to MTN. That was the last I heard. I know MTN are terrible when dealing with customer complaints and they really should NOT be in business. They know how to sell but cannot keep their customers.

I would think a company such as MTN would actually honour their agreement but as usual I was wrong. They have again reneged on their agreement to supply 100Mb per month with their Mint tablet special. Although I have only used 43Mb for the month I get a message saying my data has expired and I must spend R4 per xmb data. Now I am really ****ed off with MTN. Useless *****.
