Customer Service non existent in non White and Affluent stores

I went of Friday afternoon 8th July 2022 to Springfield branch to do some shopping and collect my neighbour's pension, honestly the atmosphere at the store was terrible, you have loud music like a club, the staff are unfriendly, managers no where to be seen, I asked to collect the pension and was told by cashier the store does not have cash, so I asked for manager, surely he could authorize cash, no manager in sight, no floor supervisor, just constant lemon faced excuse we don't have cash,

I noticed this about this store, from managers and cashiers their is complete failure in management with no decorum of professionalism or customer service, I guess the policy is do as you please let the customer complain, nothing will happen, so I left, no sign of manager.

On Saturday 9th July 2022 around 2pm I stopped at pick n pay north Beach Durban, as I was in CDB visiting friends, I went in to buy some items and collect my neighbour's pension, at till I asked to collect pension again and cashier tells me store has no cash, so I asked to see the manager as this store surely had some cash.

Once again oh manager not here, I asked were he is he's, rely was he's in back of store, so I asked to see him, man appears all lemon faced and says to me we don't have cash, so I said to him how is it you don't have cash, he does not reply, so I left and a I was exiting I could here him and cashier laughing.

My honest opinion and this is not on this occasion only Pick N Pay stores located in predominantly Indian and Black areas are by far the worst managed, operated and fail even basic customer service, in my opinion they hire staff from the bottom of the barrel,

I also visited a pick n pay in Hatfield Pretoria, which is a predominantly black community, and I must say they all look like those old run down, haphazardly run stores, I call them farm stores, staff do as they please, lemon faced cashiers and managers, customer service is last thing on their minds.

I buy a lot of groceries at pick n pay, mainly Durban North hyper and online weekly. I told my wife we are not shopping with this company any more.

I also shop at checkers and Shoprite and I must say they are on the ball with customer service, if you ask for manager to help they actually help and try to assist the customer, not so with Pick n Pay farm stores, only pick n pay stores in affluent and predominantly white areas have good overall customer service from my experience.

Shame on you Pick N Pay, still living in past catering for affluent and White population, customer service only reserved for them.
