Customer Harrasment - Gardens Pick 'n Pay - Port Elizabeth

This review is not directed at Pick n Pay as a brand, I think its a great and highly successful brand and we have shopped at Pick n Pay most of our lives. and I give 5 stars.

This is a complaint that I wish to share may be true for other branches and customers. I am speaking up especially here for the ladies, Moms & daughters.

In our case the store in question is Gardens Pick 'n Pay - Port Elizabeth. There are certain male staff members who constantly harass female customers. I have noted this not only in connection with my family, but other female customers too. It seems to be a norm at this store. In my view this should not be allowed. Its extremely intimidating for the person being harassed and if I was to do the same in my work environment I would be had up for harassment. Note - there is a difference between being friendly & polite and invading someones space. We are at a point now where we have to travel outside of our area to another shopping center. I want to ask Pick n Pay management to please look into what polices are in place in this regard. I don't want anyone to loose there jobs now, but I feel male staff should be made to understand that the are at work and need to behave in a professional manner and treat customers with respect & dignity. Otherwise all good and all staff at this store especially are very friendly and polite. 5 stars for this, I hope we can return soon to this branch. Thanks,
