Customer complaint for Pick n Pay Pineridge

I was in Pick n Pay Pineridge liquor shopping for beer I saw vindhoeck larger 440ml 6 pack priced at R71.99 and decided on purchasing it, when I got to the tellers I was assisted by an African lady cashier by the name of Sinelisiwe Sihiya who when ringing up the 6 pack told me it was R89. 99,which did not correspond withe price on the shelf I picked up from.. When I asked her why it was placed on the R71.99 price she told me it was a customer who moved the prices and it was incorrectly marked,I told her that all the Vindhoeck larger six packs were priced at R71.99 on that shelf and it could not have been moved by a customer,.. I had budgeted R71.99. 99 for it after I saw the price and when I requested that the cashier give me the pack for the price I saw it at she refused ensjsting that the Barco design did not match therefore I couldn't get it for the price I saw, I still refused to pay R89. 99 for it so she called her supervisor Anita who also said they couldnt give me the price I saw as the Barcodes did not match the product, when I I asked for their customer service number they stalled me for 20min and I eventually left the store unhappy..

The fact that I must pay for whoever did the pricing and merchandising is unacceptable and unfair as a valid smartshopper customer for years. I am not the person who does pricing and merchandising in that store department so why should I be denied the price I saw the product placed under as a valid customer.. I am extremely unhappy about this and would like someone from their head office to intervene..
