Corporate greed and indifference rife at Pick 'n Pay

Last month I approached Lakeside and Steenberg Pick 'n Pay's looking for donations (such as tinned food) for a fund raising bazaar being held by Westlake Primary School. I spoke to Andre and Lyndon at the Lakeside store. I also gave Andre a formal request letter from the school. I had no response (after more than a week) so I spoke to Conrad at the Steenberg store, also giving him a formal letter. I had no response from him either. I checked with the principal at the school and she confirmed she did not hear from either store. The school wasn't asking for much, a few tins of food would have been appreciated. I find it disgusting that not one of the three managers bothered to give me any feedback and that neither store could even bother to give a few cans of baked beans. The corporate greed in this country is very bad and I hope that those managers I spoke to do not treat every request with the same disdain.
