Compliance and Safety
Good day
I am writing this email with a heavy heart amid the Corona Virus Pandemic that has hit the world so bad, whereby the numbers are busy rising and Gauteng have overtaken the Western Cape epicentre with the infections. The NCC,health minister and other stake holders are at the meetings trying to figure what to do next. The hospitals, doctors and nurses are overwhelmed by the daily rising infections. The graves have been dug up and ready. I went to Pick n Pay Diepkloof square on Saturday 18/07/2020 what i saw I was so traumatized there was no compliance the store was so full with the queues so long you could tell that there was no Covid. There was no one following the 1 meter rule and no one in the store checking if customers were following the compliance. The same store 2 weeks back 10 staff member tested positive for Corona and they closed for 1 day the next day the store was operating as if nothing happened. It is profit before people. The s mamagement at the store were laughing chit chatting you can see they dont care whats happening inside the store.
Please can someone tell Pick n Pay head office whats happening in their stores they dont even have a thermometer to check the temperature you do as you please.I dont think i wil go to that Pick n Pay anytime soon.It shows that the workers are working even if they are sick or infected.
Can somebody please help us .
Humble Regards Betty
