Complaint picknpay crescent umhlanga

Due to the continuous lack of service delivery and ethics, I now have no other option, but to complain to the senior authorities that might make a difference in an attempt to avoid other customers from going thru these horrible experiences.

This would be the third time this year that I have had a frustrating experience at this particular store at the crescent shopping centre in Umhlanga.

On the 10th November 2020 my wife call the store prior to me leaving home to check if this store has a specific product for sale on their shelf (Spring Meadow full cream milk). It was the first time that we will be purchasing this brand and not wanting to drive around looking for the product, we had called the store ‭***‬ and spoke to an employee named Christina. She stated that the store does sell this milk product and has it in stock.

I was able to find this product when I arrived at the store. There was no pick n' Pay employee in sight to assist. Ridiculous as this may sound, whilst standing in store I had to call the store from my mobile to request for assistance. I was told to proceed to the kiosk for assistance. To my disgust the kiosk was unable to assist. I then asked to speak to a manager. I was directed to a manager called Rene. He stated that the store does not sell that brand of milk. Highly frustrated as my trip was futile and much of my time was wasted waiting for assistance I questioned the fact that Christina an employee of pick n' Pay confirmed that this product was in store for sale. Why would she mislead customers without checking and advising the customer with the correct information?

Rene was unable to answer my questions and then offered to direct me to another manager. My complaint was disregarded. The manager did not take my details down to follow through and report back to me with at the very least an apology and an explanation like most reputable stores will do eg. Woolworths, Spar etc. I was totally inconvenienced by *********** staff and management at Pick n' Pay. I eventually did purchase this product hassle free at our very friendly and helpful Local Spar.

In the past, my family and I have been put through similar frustrating situations such as no stock of items advertised on sale from the first day of the sale and thereon. When you get to the kiosk you have to wait lengthy periods to be attended to as the people responsible at these counters are always busy chatting to each other and we the customers have to always wait to be served.

It is obvious that management needs to change at the branch to achieve better service delivery.

We have received a call from management regarding this complaint.

Once again there has been excuses and no accountability regarding my complaint and overall no way forward. Which echoes my opinion that management needs a huge wake up call regarding their customer service and ethics.

As a customer what must I do with this? Your company and its Crescent umhlanga branch has left me with nothing but increased frustration regarding the matter.
