Clothing that shrinks when washed

While I realise that Pick n Pay is hardly the place to shop for top quality fashion, I'd expect that clothing bought at one of their dedicated clothing stores would at least be wearable for a few weeks, if not months. But the dress I bought at their clothing store in Nicolway lasted for exactly one wear.<br> <br> The first time I wore the dress, I got a lot of compliments. The second time I attempted to wear it, the dress had shrunk about two sizes. Not only could I barely get it over my head, but I couldn't move my shoulders once in! Those problems I might have been able to live with, but unfortunately I'm not 20 any more and I can't carry off a mini skirt these days.<br> <br> The only difference between the two occasions (mere days apart, so I doubt it was because I'd suddenly gained a lot of weight!) was that the dress was washed, in our standard home washing machine. Since nothing else that was washed in the same load shrank, it seems as if the fault lies with this particular item.<br> <br> My expectations of Pick n Pay's clothing range weren't high but I am disappointed that I paid over R200 for a dress I got to wear exactly once!
