Charged for more than the invoice value
Online shopping for delivery Friday 4 May 2018. R6303.68 was deducted from my credit card. Received the shopping Friday with an invoice value of R6241.18. Can somebody please explain the additional charge? When is it going to be refunded? Can Pick 'n Pay not be trusted with my card details anymore? Now I must send copy of my card statement to yourselves? Is this for real? My business is obviously not needed as your mistakes now create work and losses for me.
Hi Bernadette,
Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused to you.
Kindly take note that the reservation amount was set aside by your bank in preparation for your online order and was not a deduction. When your order was invoiced the final amount requested would have been deducted from the reservation amount and any excess amounts would still be in your account held by your bank.
Depending on your banks internal process, this amount is made available to their customers within 3-5 working days or on the customers request.
Please find out more here about payment reservation amounts. >>> https://www.pnp.co.za/pnpstorefront/pnp/en/faq
We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels.
Kind Regards,
