Cashier told me that I am a customer who doesn't know how to pack....!

I went to Pick 'n Pay, Sunningdale this morning to purchase a few items. Taking with me a canvas bag and one plastic bag (for the planned icecream I wanted to buy). At the cashier I produced my canvas bag which the cashier took, she shook out the plastic bag that was inside and started packing my items in the canvas bag.

I noticed that she placed the icecream inside the canvas bag without using the provided plastic bag. She then wanted to place the only item still left on top of the icecream, the fresh bread!!! I took the icecream out and used the plastic bag still lying unused on the paypoint counter and handed it to the cashier.

The cashier then looked at me and told me that I am a customer who doesn't know how to pack....!

This is not only infuriating but also extremely rude and such comments should not be tolerated towards a customer.

As I am a pensioner who worked in retail as an HR Manager for many years and trained thousands of cashiers, packers, etc I am not impressed at all at the attitude displayed nor impressed with the ignorance of the Pick 'n Pay employee regarding rules applicable to packing consumer goods.
