Cashier's bad attitude
I did shopping at Pick n Pay, my things were not packed into a plastic bag that I had responeded that I needed. I asked the cashier that was assisting me who was supposed to pack my things and she said she did not know. I requested that she packs my things as I believed that it was part of her job and she refused, told me that she was a scanner and not a packer and that I should call a packer myself. She then left my things there - unpacked and continued to assist the next customer, and willingly took a plastic and packed his things. I then went to the manger to lay a complaint. The manager did not bother to stand up and come with me to understand what was going on, instead he told me to go back and that he would call a packer.the packer arrived and apologised for the behaviour of the cashier who did not even show any remorse for wrong doing but continued to exude this bad attitude- which is why I felt the manager's intervention was vital. He did well by calling a packer (and saying they would carry out a disciplinary action) but he could have done better, the cashier failed to provide a good service and to uphold the company's values.
