Cashier couldn't care less

the cashier that helped me was friendly and helpful but the cashier that helped my grand father was useless unfriendly and couldn't care less about helping it took 10 min for her to decide to ask for someone to replace a broken bag of milk while my sickly grandfather had to stand around and wait for her, my grandfather has a heart problem and diabetes but that shouldn't even make a difference, clients should be helped with a smile no matter who you are. Friendliness costs nothing but apparently for most pick n pay staff it will kill them.
