****** cashier at pick n pay menlyn

I had the unfortunate experience of a cashier speaking poorly of me in a different language assuming that I did not understand what she was saying right infront of my face. I attempted to purchase the Friday burger special when I realized that my husbands smart shopper that i was using was not linked to my fnb app as required so I would not be eligible for the promotion and the manager advised that they have no smart shopper cards to offer me at that point ,I then opted to leave the burger special and continue paying for the rest of my items and that is when the cashier in said "tjoe some people take chances" despite us establishing that this was a clear misunderstanding. The manager that was assisting with the void also **** and said no that is not what she said when I clearly heard what the cashier said , so not only are we unable to be respected by the cashiers as customers but our intelligence is being insulted by the management as they cover for the poor behaviors of staff. I then opted to leave my entire purchase at the till and I advised that I do not need to be shopping in a store where customers are so disrespected as this is not the first or second times I am experiencing this exact problem with this very same store , today was just the day I had to say something! Upon leaving, I was stopped by another manager asking what happened and perfusly apologizing for my experience but unfortunately that is exactly where the conversation ended with me and nothing was offered to compensate me for the experience I had with the 2 staff members . Just a word of advice to the management and staff of this particular store , please don't judge customers just because they work in retail as we too are consumers who spend our money at these stores! Myself and my family will unfortunately stop purchasing from this store because it is not a store where we receive the same respect we give to the employees in the store

The cashier's exact words were "utata ma chans" and I heard it loud and clear! To disrespect another human in such a manner is disgusting and absolutely ********!
