Bureau of Advertising Standards Issue

A regular message on my rewards printout, which read that over a million vouchers had been issued, led my partner and I to investigate and we drew down several discount vouchers valued at approaching R 30 in total, for specific items. I have sought advice and I am told that these printed vouchers are legally binding on Pick&Pay and assume the nature of a contract between the parties, when offered. I have these vouchers in my possession, they are valid until 19 July and we made strenuous effort to match them ACCURATELY against specified items. Notwithstanding this, the vouchers rejected at the till. A supervisor Veronica was called, and she with no smile and some hostility, proceeded to check each of our items, found them to be 100% correct&matching vouchers. We then asked for a red coat to be called, as we were wasting half an hour of a precious Sunday afternoon, and no help was forthcoming. We had to leave the store with nil redress, and much unhappiness. We as a household feel aggrieved that this form of false advertising led us to so acutely be embarassed in store.
