Bread slicing machine out of order over 6 months

It has been over 6 months that the bread slicing machine has not been working. It is a irrelevant to cater for people that don't have a preference on the bread being sliced. Today I saw management doing rounds I hope the matter was resolved, when I complained in the store I was told to add on my complain that "kids miss use the machine" . So it leaves the part of" isn't it pick n pay's duty to allocate someone to assist with their delicate bread slice machine?
