Boycott picknpay online shopping

if you are planning any online shopping from Pick n Pay then my best advice to you is - DONT DO IT. We placed an order for some foodstuffs to test the system and determine if it is usable, it isnt.

It is not possible to get your goods delivered in anything under a week, when you complete your online shopping they warn you that the final amount may differ marginally from the quoted amount due to the weighing volume of products. We assumed that this was to allow for the fact that not all vegetables weigh the same and it is hitting a moving target, quite an acceptable adjustment.

What we did not expect, seeing as how all items were prepackaged ones, was that the bill quoted as R844 would escalate to R867 however we would still have accepted this as there were some items of cheese which could have a variance on it.

This morning the consignment was delivered, only half the items, after a credit card deduction was already made yesterday for the R 867 amount, and the delivery excluded half the items on the original order. This is totally unacceptable, wait a week, deliver what kinda suits you and charge whatever you like for it, there is NO WAY I will do business with such a pathetic ******* service. When we called to complain, we get some half asleep fool that couldnt care less, ah your money will be refunded in the next 20 days, no apologies explanations or offers to rectify. Nope, ladies and gents, online shopping in the face of corona is the most important transition all our stores are going to have to deal with, and if this is how it gets done by pick and pay, then they must be avoided at all costs. I conduct regular online shopping from Makro and Game and have shopped at Takealot, Ubuy, Bidorbuy and a few others who I cannot think of right now. Excepting Takealot who ******** me on a guarantee claim, I will readily contract any of the others again, professional accurate prompt and helpful, but picknpay, never again, useless unprofessional and backward.

They had a week to collect the items on my order before delivery, when I placed my order they clearly had stock of the items they were so happy to take my money for, so please dont believe the pathetic BS excuse in the reply. To sell something you dont have is *****, whether you offer it to me and dont have it in your possession, or sell it to me and then give it to someone else instead. I dont accept this excuse and I do several online transactions most days of the week, never have I ever seen such a crock of shyte, and never have I had a retailer wipe themselves on me like this. I will not darken their door again, it is ******* service and I have no reason to believe, considering the attitude shown in their reply, that there is any scope for improvement, Cheerio pick and pray (for your goods to one day arrive)

Here is their response to my online complaint
