Bought food at Pick n Pay Hypermarket Ottery twice in a week that was off

In last week my husband bought cooked rice at the deli of Hypermarket, Ottery, Cape Town that was off. We chucked it in the bin. Today I bought a pasta salad at the deli of the same store that was off too and again I only realized this after I got home. The expiry date on the label was 16/02/2021. This time I took it back and got my money back. Only problem is that I spent more in fuel than the price of the salad to return it and only to get an I'm sorry which really isn't good enough. They should quality test the food at the deli before it gets sold.
