bought a schoolbag that didn't last 4 days

On the 15th of January 2017, I went to Pick n Pay, Newcastle Mall, to purchase a schoolbag for my son for R400. My son used the bag for 4 days, from Monday to Thursday and on Friday, he didn't use it as it was a sports day at his school. Thursday evening when i checked my son's bag, i saw that it was worn out at the bottom, worn out after being used for less than 4 days, my son gets dropped off and picked up from school, so he doesn't pull the bag all that often. I took the bag back to Pick n Pay on Monday 23 January 2017. When I got to the helpdesk, I received terrible service and was told to come back on Wednesday to speak to the manager. When I returned the manager refused to deal with the matter and told me they would not exchange the bag. I was told to call customer service who told me the samme thing. This has been a very disappointing experience for me as I feel that when you spend R400 on a schoolbag, it should last more than 4 days, the way Pick n Pay dealt with this matter was very disappointing, they made no effort to contact the manafacture, all they told me was that it was an import, which surely is not my problem. I want Pick n Pay to either exhange the bag for a new one or to refund me my money. The way I have been treated is really unacceptable.
