Bedfordview Pick n Pay Bad Attitude from Staff

Yesterday I went to Pick n Pay Bedfordview for my weekly shop. Only when I got to the teller did she (Shabalala) advise that Standard Bank was offline. Since I had drawn my daily limit, I was forced to put groceries back. The teller called someone else - who knows who she was (Thandiwe) who told me 'it wasn't their fault' and that they did announce it on the intercom. I advised that it actually is their fault as they should let customers know BEFORE THEY WASTE THEIR TIME SHOPPING. The most resolve they could offer was that it was announced it on the intercom which nobody generally hears and which is easy to miss. They could have let customers know as you walked in the door or put notices up at the door, even at the tellers. Also, staff could have alerted staff as they walked into the shop. To add to that, you have to put up with rennovations they are undertaking. All in all a very unpleasant shopping experience and then to add to it, a bad attitude from tellers. For the most part the tellers are unfriendly. I have been shopping there for over 20 years, but it is becomming a bit much. I am not going to shop there anymore - rather go to Woolies. More expensive but worth it.
