Be careful with bar coded prices on goods.

Once again, the price on the till differs from the price on the shelf.<br> <br> Today, I picked up a chopping board from a stand in the fruit and vegetable section. It looked like PnP was running a special. There were at least 5 such stands, all with the same type and size of board, all with the price prominently displayed of R 79... At the till, the price shown was R 99...! When I complained, the till operator eventually managed to drag herself to call the till supervisor. Meanwhile, the packer, Samuel, took the initiative and went to check the price, coming back with the price tag from the stand (R 79...) The till supervisor checked and said this price was for a medium size and I had taken the big size. <br> But there was only one size on all the stands! And only one price tag!<br> In short, I dropped the board there and then and didn't leave all the rest of the shopping because I couldn't afford the time to go elsewhere. But the feeling of being cheated does not leave me, and I think SPAR Carlswald gained a more permanent customer.
