BAD STORE MANAGEMENT

On Sat 08 Oct 2016, I went to purchase 4 grocery items (1 packet sauce, 1 pack of Coriander, 1 bottle of C***** cream, 1 box of soya). Seeing that the store was very busy, I stood in the line at the Kiosk to pay for the items (as did many other customers), thinking that this would be more efficient.

Unfortunately, when I got to the front of the line, I was told I'm not allowed to pay for those items at the Kiosk and that I had to join the queue at the cashiers.

I am highly disappointed with this level of service. Whilst I understand the Kiosk is generally meant for purchasing Kiosk-related items, the store was very busy (at ~5.15 pm). There were at least 4 cashier points with no cashiers and there were long queues of customers at all pay points. I would think that the Store Manager, if he had any intelligence, would think to firstly add more cashiers or open up the Kiosk to allow payment of other items so that customers can efficiently do their shopping, with minimal frustration. The objective should be to facilitate an efficient and effective shopping experience for customers. Clearly your Store Manager is neither perceptive nor entrepreneurial enough to think of such a simple strategy.

It is also further shocking and disconcerting that another customer complained to a man wearing a PNP uniform, who appeared to be a manager, about the lack of cashiers. However, this man simply ignored the customer and did not respond to the customer or even acknowledge her complaint.

As a loyal PNP customer at PNP Southdale and as a Quality Assurance professional, I am disgusted with the low calibre of store management and customer service at the Lenasia branch. I will exploit every medium at my disposal to make sure that this complaint does NOT go unnoticed. Absolutely pathetic service from a supposedly "customer-centric" brand!
