Bad service.
Yesterday I went to the pnp Mega Mart store in tembisa and I received the most demeaning service you may think of. I went in to buy a lottery ticket so the teller named Irene stationed at the kiosk through my ticket to me cause I didn't fill it correctly. She did this with so much disrespect such that when I tried to tell her that she should tell me nicely, she continued and defended her action. I then decided to take a picture of her so that I can report her to her supervisor. She then decided she was not going to continue helping me. When I asked why, she said because I took a picture of her and assisted 3 to 4 customers who were behind me, so I felt like this was a way to punish me. I then decided to record the conversation going forward and also informes her. She then called the manager by the name of Mo, to my surprise he also gave me the same attitude by not giving me a chance to explain. More over the Irene narrated our conversation differently and was never honest about what transpired. Mo kept on interrupting me and being defensive which shows he had no intention of solving the conflict between myself and Irene.
I feel like this kind of attitude displayed by the staff members at this store is because they undermine the social class of the customers they serve in that area. The people who buy at this store are mainly the poor of the poorest living in tembisa and ivory park. Unfortunately these people are the ones who make pnp what is and for them to be treated like this is completely unacceptable.
I hope pnp management will take this seriously and put this to an end as soon as possible.
