Bad service
On the 1st of September I went to Pick and Pay and asked the teller for cash back, she said she has no money I should ask the lady behind her, I asked if I could go straight to the front of the line, she turned around, looked back at me and said that lady has no money either, I should go stand in another line. I asked for the manager, who was busy arranging baskets. His name is "Frikkie" he told me I should go to the clothing store or the liquor store, he never looked at me once and had quite an attitude. I asked how a large supermarket can have no cash, he just repeated himself. I went to the clothing store, it was closed. I went to the liquor store, the lady said I am not the first person to walk in there asking for cash back, they don't do cash back and the manager of the supermarket knows it, yet he keeps sending people there. As a longstanding customer I would have appreciated a friendlier response but I am disgusted to say the least. This is not customer service.
Thank you for choosing Pick n Pay and taking the time to write to us.
Please accept our apologies for the poor service experienced at one of our stores.
Many stores have a withdrawal limit as cashiers are instructed to drop cash when it reaches a certain point to avoid the risk of ******ies.
The same rules applies for the cash office, they also have to drop cash and have limited cash available to assist cashiers with change for their float.
Once cash has been dropped it is impossible for them to retract these funds as it is dropped into a secure drop bin that is only accessible to the cash in transit company.
We do understand your frustration in this matter and would like to address the poor service received by our management team however you have not provided us with the stores name and we are unable to get a hold of you on the number provided.
Please contact us on ***with the reference number *** to advise us of the stores name to enable us to address this complaint for you.
We value you as a Pick n Pay customer and are committed to improve continually on our service levels. Kind Regards,The Pick n Pay Team
