Bad quality electrical equipment

After a neighbors house burnt down, due to a faulty multi-plug, I decided to play it safe and buy one or two new multi-plugs every month. Take note they are in the order of R300 each. I replaced the ones behind the fridge, in each child's bedroom, behind the TV cabinet and one on each side of our (wife and I) bed. These are now failing, one at a time. On most of them the "trip switch" fails, although it is running only two fridges, or may be a coffee machine, at most. These things have 5 SA plugs and 5 two point euro plugs, and are rated at 16 amps. This is a joke, bad quality, comes at high price and has a lifetime of less than a year. They are made by Ellies, and sold by PnP. If I look at the electrical equipment sold by PnP I get the impression they buy cheap and sell at a high margin. I spend in excess of R7000 a month in PnP and I am feeling I get less and less value and quality. I also wanted to buy an extra fan, and I just looked at the quality and the price, and they look really cheap, like cheap Chinese cheap, and the prices are outrageous. Please stop selling ****, excuse the rudeness, rather sell nothing, as you are throwing away your name and causing me lots of frustration.
