Bad fresh produce

The fresh produce such as fruit and vegetables don't last past 2-3 days. I'm a vegetarian and I eat my fruits and vegetables through out the day and everyday meaning the food doesn't stay long and I reload twice a week. I recently bought avocados that were not ready to eat and I waited for them to be ready but unfortunately all of the avos were rotten I could not even eat one from the whole pack. I bought peppers and one pepper was deliberately packed to hide the rotten part. Semi rotten fruit and vegetables will be marked down and left to rot on the shelves until one can't touch them. Fresh and old vegetables get mixed in one package.

With the status of the economy and having an endless increase of hungry people my heartbreaks when I must not by choice to throw food in the bin and not given a choice to at least share with those who are in need.

I don't want to throw in race comments to this but honestly money has no colour and we all trying to make a living and it's unfortunate that not everyone can afford to go to the suburbs to buy "fresh fruit and vegetables".
