Bad Customer Service by Supervisor Promise at Pick n Pay

I would like to express the bad service and poor management skills that I have experienced over the weekend 17 February 2024 at one of the pick n pay store that is closer to were I stay.

I visited the liquor store around 1 pm were I was planing on purchasing alcohol for the function I had on the day, in the store there was a price display of R 160.99 p/box of Savanah 500ml. I went and ask that they confirm if really the price is correct, yes indeed they confirmed that the price is correct and if I came the week before it was ever more lesser by R25. I then took 8 boxes to purchase, to my surprise the price increased to R295 from R160 they even went and change the prices that was displayed.

I have informed them that I will pay the price I saw and nothing more they told me they going to speak to the supervisor and the lady came back shortly and said the supervisor can only allow me to purchase one box at the price that was displayed and the rest at higher price of R295. I refused and the lay went again and now said to me the supervisor say I can buy 4 boxes at the price of R160 and the remaining 4 at the price of R295, of which I also refused.

I walked inside the main store where there is a service desk to try and speak to the supervisor to my surprise the supervisor was not in the store so meaning they **** to me the whole time.

I have been waiting for over an hour until the Supervisor by the name of Promise came from the parking area. She came with a very bad attitude and we couldn't reach an agreement. She told the cashiers that they must not sell me the products I needed at the time this is after she wasted another 30 minutes of my time with no solution.

I have pictures of everything that happened that day at the shop. The is also CCTV footage at the store. According to the CPA

Section 23 of the CPA (dealing with displayed prices )provides that 'a retailer must not display any goods for sale without displaying to the consumer a price in relation to those goods' and 'a supplier must not require a consumer to pay a price for any goods higher than the displayed price for those goods.
