Bad Customer Experience
I have experienced the most appalling service at Pick n Pay Birchleigh North this evening. I was insulted by the gentlemen who was fogging the store, plus your demotivated store manager had no energy left in him to correct this behavior. This is the second time I experienced fogging or fumigation of the store with customers in it. The first time this happened, it was about half an hour before the same store closed. When I asked the manager why was this done, he apologized and pleaded with me not to send an official complaint. To my shock and disappointment, this happened again. When I was just about to choose my meat, a gentleman who was fogging the store, slightly portly in stature, and extremely rude to a point of saying F word to be accompanied by a middle finger (please view your footage for this) in front of your store manager Steve. The last time this was done when I was in your store my wife was left nauseous and sneezing until we got home. Fogging your store while customers are shopping is the worst thing that you could do to your customers. The discomfort was unbearable, I left the store without completing my shopping. Trust me, I am for observing COVID-19 protocols as well, however, not when the fogging is done to me. I am not sure if the company responsible for fogging in your store understands that the toxic effects of being sprayed with a chemical can lead to various health issues. I have been to so many shops in Gauteng and outside the province, I have never seen a store or even companies being fogged with customers in them. The level of contempt for your customers is appalling. If one can do that when selling food, it makes me wonder, how is your food prepared. I will definitely be going to another Pick n Pay for my shopping requirements. They might be far, but I am sure they put the health and comfort of their customers first. I will await your feedback.
