Bad attitude and people skills,

I am so disappointed with the Christmas day manager at Pick n Pay, Queensburgh this year. I own an Old age care centre and a Wedding venue and have been a loyal supporter of Pick n Pay since the Queensburgh branch opened. On the 23rd December 2022 . I put in a handwritten order to the bakery for collect on christmas day at 12 noon. My wife and I then left for a short holiday and returned early sunday to collect my order. On arriving at the counter and asking for my order, the staff could not locate it and said that it had not been actioned. The product was a major ingrediencie for a large dessert for a wedding that we were catering for the following day. ( Our client was very disappointed , as we had to change her choice of dessert, NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS } Being a little annoyed, i decided to speak to the day manager to see if you could solve the problem, All I need was for him to arrange for the item to be ready for me first thing the following morning. His attituded floored me , he had no interest in solving their issue and just had the "no care , not my problem , I will still recieve my salary and bonus at the end of the year attitude " I feel that if the baker knew he was not on duty christmas day , dont take the order, I could have gone elsewhere. I have since received a lot of support through locals in media and suggest your head office take the nessesary steps to resolve the managers people skills and teach him how to solve problems , I am sure he is aware of the large Checkers that will be opening a stone throw away , and should be pulling out all stops to service his daily customers. I have since taken my daily purchases to Checker in the next suburb. A very very disappointed loyal customer , Les Riddle , A checkers client
