ASAP disappoints - give me Sixty60

I placed an order with Pick n Pay using the ASAP app at 11:53 on Friday, 1 May 2026. The scheduled delivery time according to the app and the order confirmation sent to me showed the delivery time as between 12:30 and 13:00. That time slot suited me, as my grandchildren were visiting and that was a good time for them to have lunch.

When the goods have still not arrived at 13:00, I checked for the status on the app, and the packages were still at the store waiting to be picked up by a driver. My grandchildren were quite hungry at that time, so I phoned the call centre at 13:03 to enquire about the branch so that I could just go and pick it up myself. The call centre agent that attended to my call didn't want to give me the store location as according to her I might miss the driver along the way. I told her that I didn't think this was good service and that I will probably not use their service again, and she quite defiantly told me I am welcome to my choices.

I will certainly not use ASAP again, and will probably not even shop at Pick n Pay again. I have used Checkers Sixty60 quite often in the past without any problem and with excellent service, so I will just continue to use them in future.

I bank with FNB and tried ASAP to earn eBucks, but not even that will convince me to use ASAP again - I will rather forfeit the eBucks and continue where I receive quality service - Sixty60.
