Appalled and disheartened

On the public holiday I went to the PnP Cresta store as a last resort as I could not get help online regarding the purchases I had been trying to make on the app since the 26th April. I knew the sales were coming to an end. I particularly was eyeing my favourite coffee: it was cut down from R220 to R136. Visiting the store was simply a waste of my time and chipped away deeply at the respect I’d held for the establishment.

I am appalled that no attempts or exceptions were made for me to purchase at ASAP prices. The manager, Busi, was extremely dismissive and non-responsive to my problem until I was adamant and she delegated Charmaine for the chase-up task. As sweet as Charmaine was all she could do was what I had done. Call the support office. And wait. And be transferred and wait. And get cut off. And try again and so it goes. Need I say that today was the last day of the sale PLUS the store would be closing early. My online basket was full. But no one was ready to assist. Really appalling after spending much time there in the Cresta back office as Charmaine was patiently waiting with me for assistance from the other side of the phone. That was at least a half hour wait and I had things to do having to cancel a few mentally...(!) Charmaine was very professional but the exercise proved Fruitless. I have very little respect for the way PickNPay have handled me as a customer. The online presence and support I will rate 1/5. No responses were helpful in the least. A recurring problem that ASAP had claimed to fix months ago was in force again disallowing me to conclude my online purchase. A pop up telling me I needed to activate my account using the link or and sent (neither were sent) and I had definitely activated this months ago when this problem first occurred. It will probably reoccurring even though ghey fixed this in the 3rd May (sale obviously long over) My conclusion seems to be that I will simply stick with Sixty60 as far as possible. There’s reliability there. I must add though that Nono at the Fern on Republic branch, was phenomenal when this happened the first time. Perhaps she’s an outlier.

So disheartened.

I am appalled that no attempts or exceptions were made for me to purchase at ASAP prices as I had gone out of my way to visit a store and show the problem. What I wanted the most was the Douwe Egberts coffee that was being sold at R136. Really appalling after spending much time there in the Cresta back office as Charmaine was patiently waiting with me for assistance from the other side of the phone. That was at least a half hour wait. The manager, Busi was extremely dismissive and non-responsive to my problem until I was adamant and she delegated Charmaine for the chase-up task. Fruitless.
