Another Smart Shopper Points Expiry Victim
1. Reading the many Smart Shopper Program related complaints, it seems that I’m not the only one who received no warning regarding loyalty points expiration for January…a text message for February came through last week and that alerted me to points to expire end of January, and a chunk of missing points. This is unacceptable PnP and not what I expect as your best practice. Your patrons deserve better!! You have a chance to correct this ‘oversight’ correct the failure to inform many of us in a timely manner.
2. Smart Shopper App Redesign: Given what has happened regarding Smart Shopper non-information, a suggestion is to bring back the Points visibility to the first item customers see when opening the app. It used to be there before but the redesign has hidden Points/Rand Value in one of the menus.

Kindly note Smart Shopper points are valid for 12 months from the time they’re earned. The best way not to lose your PnP rewards is to make sure you spend them from time to time. We always use your oldest points first so use your points to save even more on every day shopping or treat yourself to something special. You can switch points on the app or via the kiosk.
We are sorry you didn't receive the communication that points are valid for 12 months from earning date via our emails or on till slips.
We have escalated to have your deleted points re-instated, the points will reflect within 7 business days.
