Angry Customer
We have bought a Salton kettle from PNP Steeledale, during lockdown the kettle stopped boiling, we took it in for repairs and were informed that their repair section is closed (bearing in mind we still in our warranty period). In July they finally took the kettle, however we were told that repairs were still closed (the warranty period has now finally lapsed). Months later we receive a call that we need to pay a R91 and some cents to have the driver collect the kettle and obviously because it is lockdown we don't have the money. Now it is the 7th JAn 2021 and we finally have the money, so now I go to pay with a R100 and I'm told by the lady sitting at the repairs counter that I need to find my own change cause she doesn't have change. Long story I left and today we received a call that the kettle is at PNP and has not been fixed because we first need to pay the money. To begin with when we took the kettle in April no one was from the repairs department was there to attend to us and everyone else they couldn't assist cause they don't deal with repairs, however someone wrote a note a the till slip that the kettle needs to be repaired, all this time we were within our warranty period, when the lady took the kettle in July she did not mention anything about paying a fee. How can they it with the kettle for so long and not fix it besides, the time she called they only explained that the money we needed to pay was for the driver to collect the kettle and now we are being told that we need to pay the money to have the kettle fixed after they have been sitting with it for so many months. This is incompetence and it is not the the first time we are experiencing such incompetence from this Pick n Pay
