After 10 days have not been contacted by the Manager yet

Dear Vat 69 Whisky Brand Manager, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Robert Blanckenberg, and I recently purchased a bottle of Vat 69 from one of your authorized retailers, Pick n Pay.(Craighall Family Store Craighall) Unfortunately, my experience with the purchase has been less than satisfactory, and I felt compelled to bring it to your attention. Upon attempting to open the bottle, I encountered a significant issue—the cap seemed to turn endlessly, making it impossible to open. Eventually, I resorted to breaking the seal, only to discover that the cap did not seal properly afterward. Regrettably, this led to an unfortunate incident where my wife picked up the bottle by the top, causing it to fall due to the improperly sealed cap.

In an effort to resolve the matter, I visited the Pick n Pay store where I made the purchase. I explained the situation, expressing my disappointment at losing a considerable portion (7/10th) of the contents of the bottle. Understanding that accidents happen, I kindly requested a small discount as compensation for the inconvenience. However, I was informed that offering a discount was against the liquor act.

This response left me quite perplexed and, I must say, somewhat distressed. I want to clarify that at no point did I request a replacement bottle; my sole request was for a modest discount as a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, the encounter at the store left me feeling misunderstood and, frankly, treated unfairly.

I believe in the quality and reputation of Vat 69, and this isolated incident does not reflect the high standards I associate with your brand. I am reaching out to you in the hope that you can shed light on this matter and possibly offer a resolution that aligns with the values of customer satisfaction and fairness.
