Advertising what you won't find in stock
I made a special trip from Gordons Bay to Somerset Mall for the Black Friday Trial Run to get 3 x PnP Fresh Whole Chicken in Tray. Only to find the store had no stick and would not give me a rain check voucher for one day specials. What get me is that I was kept waiting for up to 20 minutes for a manager to come and tell me this when the Customer Care staff knew about this all the time and didn't bother to tell me! I am disabled and having to stand for that amount of time is extremely painful for me. I would not call this putting the customer first anymore. In fact I think the new motto for the big supermarket stores is now 'To hell with the customer who expects service'

01 Oct 2019, 12:27I was pleasantly surprised on Saturday 28 September to receive a call from Pick n Pay, Somerset Mall from a lady named Wilma who said the Chickens has come in very late Friday and that I could have the 3 Chickens that I wanted at the Black Friday Trail run price of R39.99 per kg. Wilma kindly put aside 3 Chickens for my husband to collect later.
