Advertising Non-existent "specials"

Pick 'n Pay advertised (Full page) in Beeld on Thursday, 11 October, that they are running a special on 1,5l regular Coke at 2 for R24.00 at ALL Pick 'n Pay Super- and Hypermarkets. I have been to Greenstone (Edenvale) and Boksburg Hypermarkets only to find that this "special" is NOT available. Webbtone Ngolo, Groceries Manager at Boksburg confirmed that they do NOT even stock that particular range (1,5l Coke). This is NOT the first time for me to find that Pick 'n Pay does not have stock of advertised items - first time however to be informed that they do NOT even stock an advertised range. Thus I cannot be provided with a rain check. With the price of petrol at an all time high it is nothing but ***** to advertise something which you never intend to sell - presumably in the hope that customers will buy something else after having gone to the trouble to travel to a store for a non-existent "special". If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, this will NOT be the last you hear about this matter.
