Accused of theft

On the 9th of this month(October) i went in at the Pick n Pay local store in Monte Vista forgetting that i have a soup in my bag that my employer has given me for lunch but couldn't eat it that time....so i got in to get a few items and went to the till to pay..the lady who was helping me asked to scan for a bag and i said no I've got one...took it out of my bag and i asked her while she was putting the items in the bag to also put the soup that was in my bag and she called security on me and said that i had ****** it from them as it was from Pick n Pay...everyone in the store looking at me as a theaf...i called my employers and none of them wanted to speak to her...they took me to their offices until my other employer's husband came and only they let me go...only yesterday the 17th of October they called to apologies because my employer called to them and asked if they had made any contact with me and after so many days after the incident....they found out that the soup is not theirs but they still kept it and not gave it back to me even when i asked them to check their security footage they refused. I am so disappointed in Pick n Pay...almost everyday when i leave work i go and buy there n most of the employees there know me....i cant even take a taxi home because it's right infront of Pick n Pay and people stare as if im a *****....
