Absolutely shocked and apparently been doing it for a year!!!

I've never experienced such a ******* procedure in my life.

Over the past 2 weeks I've bought 2 cases of quarts from their liquor store .Today on returning the cases and wanting to purchase only 4 beers they refused my deposits of the 2 cases . On my request the manager came to me and said that this procedure ,where you have to buy exactly what you brought in has been in place for a year "I then informed him I've done exactly this many times in the past year," which he said who ever had done that was not aloud too. I then said to him to look at my smart shopper card to see that I had purchased the 2 cases from that exact store and he said it didn't matter. How can the shop charge you for deposite of not only the bottles but the case itself and then refuse what is technically not even their money back to you. So basically what Pick 'N Pay is doing is ******ion ,with holding your money for deposite unless you purchase what they say is correct . How come when I purchase 3 beers you don't ask where the deposite bottles are , I will tell you why ,because you then pay for the 3 bottles without the deposite and the exact same should work with returns.

After been highly upset about the whole matter, I took my 2 cases, 2km up the road to Spar where they were more than happy to give me my deposits back and let me purchase my choice of the amount of beers I wanted.

Is this a tactic that Pick 'n Pay is trying to use to make the customer spend more money that their store ,poor management not understanding the dynamics of how business works or just plain ******ion of the public.

I will be posting this to the S.A.B hello Peter as well and on every other forum I can find.

Not only has Pick 'n Pay lost my business today but has lost my business every other day from here on, everyday shopping and monthly shops, for not even R50 returns. Your priorities are in the wrong place ,maybe you should start letting someone that understands the workings of the world make rules and procedures not some wet behind the ears so called managers.
