ABI and Pick 'n Pay don't care about noise levels at night

<p>After having written a review on Hellopeter before, I was contacted by the manager from Pick 'n Pay Willow Crossing in regards to the ABI Coke truck delivering late at night and disturbing my sleep and that of the old age home next to us. I was assured that this would be given attention, and it really was resolved and the problem seemed to have been eliminated. </p> <p>However, a few months on, it seems that ABI or Pick 'n Pay staff have just gone back to bad habits and are delivering at crazy hours of the night. It is currently 11:41pm and the truck has just arrived, meaning it will only leave here after midnight. I really do understand that stock needs to get to the store, but this time of night? I really think that this is not in order. </p> <p>The reverse sound is horrific as they try and position that massive truck in this small loading area - going back and forth. Then the sounds of pallettes or something heavy being moved around is quite loud. I recently broke my leg and arm and had my room moved - this happens less than 10m from my window and really disturbs me.</p> <p>Now, I can see me getting a call from the manager again, assuring me that the problem will be addressed. And then another few months down the line, will the problem just persist? I do not want this to become a repetitive problem without a permanent solution. Can Pick 'n Pay and ABI address this matter with their drivers and staff, or should I go another route? </p> <p>I trust this matter will be attended to in due time with some finality in order for this problem to not recur in the future. </p> <p> </p> <p>Sincerely</p> <p>Willem Schutte</p>
