Pick A Place - The WORST travel agency

Booked a Mozambique trip with this agency and firstly, the owner of the company did not want to provide us with an itinerary. The trip was meant to take place from 3-6 April 2020. We asked for an itinerary from October 2019 and we still have not received it. The owner (Mahlatsi) got upset every time we asked for it. He did not respond to emails, text messages or even phone calls. When he did answer he was disrespectful and constantly reminding us that he is doing us a favour. After the announcement about limiting travels because of the Coronavirus, we requested a refund and he said there is a no cancellation policy. We told him that we are not cancelling but we cannot travel because of the new laws that have been put in place. No hotels had been booked and the hotel on the original advert and the hotels he mentioned to us were difficult. When we asked about the bus we would be traveling with, we were told that it did not have a toilet. We were going to leave on 3 April, travel all day, spend only 2 days in Moz and spend the entire day on the toilet-less bus on the 6th. He began to say we care harassing him, calling us unkind names and saying that we irritate him and that he is doing us a favour by even refunding our travel. Mahlatsi and his company are a reminder of why we decide to pay more expensive travel companies because when we decide to support black businesses this is the treatment we receive. I would not travel with him even if he was the last travel agency in the world. He is absolutely unprofessional, has zero respect for his clients and he is very quick to delete negative comments on his FB page. I was absolutely disgusted by the service I received and I am so grateful that we did not end up traveling with him. Pick A Place will be the reason for its own downfall.
