Do not trust Phonetradr
Phonetradr collected 2 of my iPhones during November 2024 which were subsequently listed on their website for sale (and is still listed). Although I have received certain offers through Phonetradr from third parties, the phones (as far as I understand) have not been sold.
Despite several attempted telephone callsas well as emails and WhatsApps sent to Phonetradr regarding the status of the sales, I have heard nothing from them (they never answer my calls or reply to my emails / WhatsApps).
The lack of communication for over 5 months is unacceptable.
If I do not receive an answer from Phonetradr shortly, I will be taking all necessary steps (including to report this to the relevant authorities and to institute legal action) against them.
Despite this, I have not received any payment, and my repeated follow-up emails have gone unanswered. It has been months, and I am still waiting for the money that is owed to me.
This is completely unacceptable and feels like blatant theft. I am extremely disappointed with how Phonetradr has handled this. If I do not receive payment immediately, I will be reporting this matter to the National Consumer Commission, the South African Police Service, and the Consumer Goods Ombud.
Do not trust this company with your devices. I expected a legitimate and professional service, and this has been the exact opposite.
