Poor stock availability

To whom it may concern,

I would like to start by adding that I am a huge fan of Philips appliances. Over the years they have proved to provide outstanding appliances. My entire kitchen is stocked with Philips as they have been available in almost every store and I have received excellent service out of the products.

For the past few months I have been looking for a Philips 4 slice toaster, My 2 slice toaster packed up after 5 years which I am happy with the service life so no complaints there... However, I cannot seem to find a Philips 4 slice toaster anywhere in this country. Not at any store or online... During my search fora Philips toaster I have also noticed that other stock items in stores are extremely hard to come by. One of my visits was to Boardmans as they use to stock a wide variety of Philips products and I was shocked that several stores litteraly only had 1 model kettle and 1 model Iron in stock. Game stores doesn't seem to have any Philips products on the floor. My last visit was to Dion Wired and yet again 1 Philips kettle model in stock. I did ask the question about wat seems to be going on with Philips these days and was informed that they havent seen a Philips representative in the past 6/7 months.

The last 3 weeks I have made several calls to Philips South Africa to raise my concern and hoping for an reasonable explanation.. Maybe waiting on new range, container is on its way or whatever...

I have spoken to Arline (reception) and she advised that the best person to speak to whould be Elcke (not sure I have the correct spelling) non the less, everytime I seem to call they are in a meeting.... Meeting about what if I may aks if there is not any products to discuss?? I have left several messages and also tried her mobile - 3 weeks have passed and still not any of my calls have been returned.

Another call was made on Friday the 07/08/2017, once again Elcke was in a meeting - not suprised. I spoke to another lady at reception (didnt get her name) very friendly and extremely apologetic when I raised my concern and frustration with her. I did reqeust that she transfer my call to a manager or supervisor that can just shed some light on the situation for me. She advised that she will put me thru to Joe, however the call was returned to her and she advised as follow " I have just checked with Joe and he said Philips does not stock any 4 slice toasters" one again my question was not answered and I am still in the dark...

I was further advised by the reception lady (name still unknown) that one of there consumer care representatives is available on Skype and she will have him call me back immediately.. Well no call was ever received....

With that aside, I am rasing the question once again... What is currenttly going on with one of the biggest appliance manufacturers / suppliers in the world?? This raises a huge concern for me and you are about to loose a very hardcore, loyal & (ex) satisfied customer.

I have never had an after sales querry, however if this is the way you are dealing a with sales querry I am probably better off with another brand.
