PHILIPS the modern street vendor dealer!!!!!

My husband and I are newly weds and we received a ton of gifts from friends and family of which we ould like to enjoy and use for days to come. However a Philips 3in1 blender I used to make soothies broke and we obviously do not have receipt for it and are not sure ho to return it. I therefore contacted Philips via their website and surely enough they contacted my husband and advised him there was nothing they could do without a receipt, wow!!! Now I know buying a home trusted brand like Philips is just the same as buying from the street vendors.

Dear Faith
Thanks for raising your concern,
Our reply to your husbands email was to confirm if you had a the proof of purchase. The reason for the confirmation is that no retail store would except the product back without the POP. If your answer to this question was no , we would need the serial number (a four digit number ) located at the bottom of the unit and the area you reside in. This information would help us locate the nearest service agent and confirm if the product was still under warranty. We would then advise the service agent to repair the product under warranty without the POP.
May I ask if you could reply on the Philips email so that we can assist you further. Thank you.
Kind regards,
CC Manager

Yes he is, he was only advised that the details will be smsed to him and that was the end of it. What details was he supposed to received and how? This issue is just dragging on unnecessarily and it is really frustrating me to be honest. Cape Town is sizzling hot everyday while I sit with a smoothie maker that DOES NOT WORK. If you are not going to fix the product then simply say so instead of supposedly "sending" details of your service agent to *Lesetja* (my husband). I asked him to check again last night and he STILL HAS NOT received any details......wooooow, yet accord to your response above details were sent by the 23rd already.

The blender should still be within warranty as we only received it in December of last year and my sister confirmed she purchased it a couple of months before the wedding. I took the blender to the Phillip's dealer today and was charged an assessment fee of R160, could you clarify why I would be charged this amount when the blender is still within its 2 year warranty? The job card number is:030317-95.

Evidently the blender is within warranty however the faulty part is not covered by the warranty (the blades were faulty). Thank you very much for YOUR JUNK PRODUCTS PHILIPS, I will surely be spreading the word and WARNING EVRYBODY about your POOR QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCTS. Woooow!!!!! Will I never (BUY A PHILIPS product again).
