PHILIP'S 8 YEAR LIFE TIME CLAIM FOR ELECTRICITY SAVE GLOBES (GENIE TYPE)

I am writing about Philips' electricity saver globes (Genie type).

I have been using globes like this for a couple of years now for different types of uses. Not once have the globes lasted for more that 2 years. Claimed life time is 8 years. It does not even outlast the old type of globes of various makes. The also cost a fortune!

I would really like to see the test method certification and how this claim could be arrived at.
