Pathetic Service from ItalVisual and Philips SA

This will be the last Philips product I buy in this country. I purchased the Philips vacuum cleaner Pro Duo in November 2017. Not realising it had a 2 year warranty, I phoned Philips and they gave me 2 Philips Repair centres, one in Northcliff and the other near Bedfordview. Neither of the 2 outlets are anywhere near me. On the 13 or 14th May, I took the vacuum cleaner to the ItalVisual Repair centre and advised them that I need it back before 25th May as I will be leaving the country. Since I had not heard from them by the 22nd, and I was in the area, I popped in to find out how far they were with repairing the item. That was the first I had been told what was wrong with it and that they ordered the part from Natal but part had not been delivered and now they couldnt get through to them. I then called Sounds Great Woodlands (where I purchased the item,) from the repair centre and they themselves spoke to the young lady at ItalVisual, and Sounds Great said they couldnt replace the unit because they needed to get a document from the repair centre stipulating the part was not available. With lots of backwards and forwards, phone calls not returned by Kevin from italVisual, I had to resort to social media. I communicated with Philips SA this morning on Twitter, explaining what happened and the urgency and their last response at 06h03 was: "Thank you for elaborating on the situation. We're sorry to hear about this experience. We're going to have our product specialists join our conversation here, as they will be able to investigate this for you further. You'll hear from them soon!". Well needless to say its now 11h17 and I havent heard a word from anyone.

My vacuum cleaner is still at ItalVisual who undertook to get it delivered to me once it was repaired or if it needed replacing.

The after sales service is pathetic, with no sense of urgency and NOBODY that can actually make a decision!
