Iron issues

Bought an Iron (R1800) at Dionwired beginning of last year, now they have closed down. The iron is now not working and i have been told its going to take about 21 days. what am i supposed to do in this 21 days, why would such a high end quality product be giving me such problems. Am i getting value for money for the amount i paid for this iron. why would such an expensive item undergo repairs so soon. i am disappointed and regret it
