HR1871/10 juicer

I bought the HR1871/10 juicer on the 29th May 2015 f in East London SA and at the beginning of October I sliced a very small beetroot in half to juice it. The plastic cover of the juicer shattered. I returned the juicer to the supplier who said they had to contact Philips for a verdict. Your rep Bobby has dealt with this in East London SA, he tells me that I \forced"the beetroot into the juicer. (How he would know this when he was not present when I juiced is a mystery to me.) He has told me that I have to buy a new plastic cover at my expense. <br> I am not very happy with this as no where in your instruction manual does it say - 'slice beetroot into tiny pieces' as Bobby suggested I should do. <br> After many phone calls and trips back to the supplier I find that someone else has returned their juicer with the exact same problem! Shattered almost in the exact same place as mine. Coincidence? I think not !<br> It is now the 7th November and I still sit with no juicer which I paid R 1639.00 for. This is not acceptable """
