3 year old product cant be repaired !!!!!

Purchased a Philips docking station (DCM580) 3 years ago. A few weeks ago it stopped working so i dropped it off at Stax in Dunkeld,JHB for repairs. They advised it would be sent to Philips for repairs. I'm now told that you no longer make the part needed to fix this problem. Really...???<br> Spend R3000 on a docking station and after only 3 years it cant be repaired. <br> <br> Surely that cant be the case!!!! the product was hardly used, and now after 3 years i'll have to throw it away.<br> <br>
