WHY THE 7 SMS TEXTS 10 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY?

I have been using Pharmacy Direct since November 2009.

The only reason that I use Pharmacy Direct is because Bonitas Medical Aid penalise me with an increased co-payment [40%] on my monthly chronic medication if I use any other pharmacy.

This is my latest irritation with Pharmacy Direct! I received the last delivery from Pharmacy Direct on or about 5 April 2023 [I did not note when the courier was here]. The tax invoice from Pharmacy Direct which accompanied the delivery, DOES NOT INDICATE A PAYMENT DUE DATE. I normally pay Pharmacy Direct 1 - 2 weeks after delivery. I do on-line payments twice a month. I live in the Karoo where the cellular network [the only way to access the internet] is not that reliable, especially when the power is off 4 ¼ hours each time due to the current > stage 4 rolling blackouts.

The Department of National Treasury [Republic of South Africa] Regulation 8.2.3 states that, “Unless determined otherwise in a contract or other agreement, ALL PAYMENTS DUE TO CREDITORS MUST BE SETTLED WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM RECEIPT OF AN INVOICE or, in the case of civil claims, the date of settlement or court judgement”. Why then is Pharmacy Direct annoying me with payment reminders?

- YESTERDAY [15/04/2023] PHARMACY DIRECT SENT ME 6 SMS TEXTS - ONE AT 13H12, ONE AT 15H27, TWO AT 18H05 AND TWO AT 20H12. - THIS MORNING, IT STARTED AT 07H00. I BLOCKED THE NUMBER. Each SMS text states the same thing: "PHARMACY DIRECT: Dear patient, we received acknowledgement that your medication has been delivered. Herewith please find a link to pay your account of R75.03 [link removed]"

IS IT REALLY NECESSARY? How often, in the 161 months have I been late in paying [over 30 days] for my medication?
