Pharmacy Direct and BONITAS confusion and **************

You can't really make a decision about this company if your Medical Aid forces them on you. I live in a small town in the Western Cape(Uniondale). We have an excellent pharmacy but when I get my Chronic Medication from them I must pay a levy because they are not on the BONITAS preferred provider list. I have always avoided Pharmacy Direct(PD) as I have no control over when I get my meds. PD claimed my meds from the medical aid on 2 March. Today is 11 March. I've been out of meds for 4 days now. Maybe PD is not bad in the metro areas. The medical aid should take the location of patients into account before punishing them. I suggest BONITAS and PD investigate this issue. And BONITAS must make exceptions or list outlying Pharmacies by default.
