PG GLASS OVERCHARGES CLIENTS
My partner contacted PG Glass in Carletonville to come and give us a quote on a small window measuring 44 X 56 CM. PG glass came out to measure the window and gave a quote.
Despite the window being so small PG Glass quoted us R400 for the materials and installation of the glass.
My partner promptly asked the person at PG Glass how much the glass and putty alone would cost?
We were quoted a mere R90.
This means that PG Glass expected me to pay them R310 to drive 950m to my home just to install a small bathroom window.
I consider this to be unreasonable overcharging.
I went to pick up the glass at PG Glass Carletonville branch on 03 Feb 2015 at 16:25. I found the front shop to be locked but when I went around to the back I found staff sitting around doing nothing.
One of the staff members tried to stop one of the front shop staff who was busy driving away.
I asked the staff member what time the shop was closing and the lady in the car told him that they close at 16:00. After asking if there was a possibility that I could get the glass I was told to come back the next day. I would just like to know why PG Glass closes at 16:00 when most of the shops in our town close at 17:00?
